Sample Tourist Route for Your Family Holiday in Brittany

You can plan a circuit that allows your family to discover Brittany. Simply take our selection of places to visit (which you can find above on this page) and turn it into a coherent route. Enjoy your journey through Brittany!

We suggest starting from Quimper. Staying at the Lanniron Estate for a few days, you can take day trips to discover Concarneau and its Walled City, the medieval village of Locronan, and the beautiful artists' town of Pont-Aven. During another day trip, or while heading towards northern Finistère, make sure to visit the breathtaking Pointe du Raz. To reach the Roscoff area, follow the north coast and discover the Abers. From Roscoff, you can make a quick trip to the Isle of Batz just opposite.

Once in Côtes-d'Armor, pass through Lannion, follow the coast (Trébeurden, Île Grande, Trégastel...) to stop at Ploumanac'h and its aptly named Pink Granite Coast. It's splendid! Continue to Perros-Guirec, consider a stop at Plougrescant (and its famous "house between the rocks"), walk through Tréguier's streets and discover its cathedral. If you wish, make a stop at Paimpol, from where you can sail to the beautiful Bréhat Island. Then head to the lovely town of Dinan (possibly detouring via Cap Fréhel), before continuing to magnificent stops in Ille-et-Vilaine: Dinard, the unmissable Saint-Malo, and perhaps Cancale.

It's time to head west again, towards Morbihan. On the way, after Rennes, stop in the Brocéliande Forest and discover Arthurian legends, Merlin the Wizard, the fairy Viviane, Sir Lancelot... In Morbihan, stop at Vannes, gaze at the Gulf of Morbihan, pause at Saint-Goustan port, marvel at the Carnac standing stones, then venture onto the Quiberon Peninsula to discover its wild coast.

It's now time to return and recharge at Quimper after this beautiful Breton journey. The Lanniron Estate and its enchanting setting await to help you recover from your adventures, enjoying both a synthesis and concentration of Brittany that Quimper offers.
