Sunêlia L'Orangerie de Lanniron

We enjoyed the location the staff were very helpful we were very close to Quimper and enjoyed the facilities. We ate in the restaurant and we found the food and service excellent.

We had booked the bathroom facilities on our site we found these not great the steps into the facilities were inadequate and in a shower of rain were dangerous. Not enough room to wash our dishes.

For a five star site it is utterly unacceptable to have no toilet seats on a large number of the toilets. The quality of food on offer in the snack bar is not particularly good. I would recommend that you look at Chateau de L’Epervière to understand the standard expected. Your site is probably the best we have stayed on but is let down by the snack food. Also the ‘independent’ restaurant could be better. When we travel to France we are interested in experiencing French cuisine. Perhaps taking control of the restaurant ‘in house’ would help to promote the venue. It was noticeable that local Quimper residents were conspicuous by their absence. A good quality food offering would attract local customers and therefore help spread the word about L’Orangerie de Lanniron.

The situation on the grounds of an old mansion is very picturesque. The walks along the odet are similarly pleasant. The treetop trampoline is very good for keeping kids entertained

More staff engagement. Felt almost entirely left to our own devices once checked in. The fact that check-in can only happen after 5pm and then reception is closed from 6 is very restrictive. Having a window of 1 hour in the day to check is not very customer focused. Our cabin did not have a mop. The igniter on the gas hob did not work, and there was no plastic steaming cover for microwaving food. We would have liked more engagement from staff and more modernized play facilities for the kids (apart from the treetop trampoline which was very good)

I thought the campsite was lovely and the pool area was great.

The games room was very tired and needs attention. And some communication would have been great to let people know about the fireworks from the wedding party on Saturday 29th August at 11.15pm it was frighteningly loud and scared both children. However if we had known it would have been helpful

It is a very friendly, well laid out site. It being in the grounds of a chateau alongside the Odet river add to its appeal. The pitches are well defined and laid out affording both privacy when wanted but also allowing more interaction with other campers when desired!

I feel that the restaurant next to the outdoor pool is massively underadvertised and also underutilised. I understood that the restaurant is not owned or indeed part of the campsite setup and this alone is a missed opportunity. Other campsites I’ve been to have really integrated their bar into the life of its campers - not only open all day, serving drinks and light snacks and then converting into a relaxed restaurant in the evening. On the one time we ate in the restaurant we were really impressed and we both had excellent meals at a very competitive price but alas it had closed for 3 days when we wanted to eat there on our last night - something we only became aware of on that evening. .

Well located to explore South Finistère. Very nice grounds extending to the Odet river. Excellent toilet facilities. Useful shop and pleasant reception staff. Decent sized pitches.

The main reason for giving 6 instead of 9 is because of significant noise and disturbance from events, especially weddings held on two Saturday nights during our stay. The first was noisy until about 1am and the second until after 5am. This was exacerbated by guests walking through the campsite to their accomodation talking and laughing loudly. One man tried to urinate near my car but was stopped by a neighbouring camper. In addition, on the first Thursday, there was loud music from the bar/shop area until 10.30 and then loud voices for a while after it stopped. I have never been to a campsite with such noise at night time and I am disappointed that camping guests are treated in this way. Because of this, we will not return to this or other Sunelia campsites.

Lovely grounds, very spacious and didn’t feel too busy. Pool was great and the restaurant was nice. We enjoyed all the various activities

We could not access our accommodation at the stated time. Poor system for checking in. Clearly not enough staff and just told to keep coming back or phone. After a long day of travelling this frayed our nerves! Maybe you could text people when their lodge is ready to reduce the queues? Odd system to enter the spa and the golf. We all got locked in with no emergency exit and had to telephone to be let out!

Great facilities for children. Fantastic shower facilities - best I’ve seen.

Some pitches are too small for their intended use. Pitch N2, in particular, is really not suitable for a 7m motorhome and should not be sold as such. The N pitches are dark and dreary and leave one feeling divorced from the rest of the campsite. You should reconsider their use. For elderly, it is a long walk from some pitches to main restaurant etc area. You should consider an electric shuttle cart.

Great pitch size & layout. Plenty of activities for all ages, great facilities included free of charge. We love the pool area & walks around the grounds. My children love the trampolines and golf driving range.

Only small thing to improve would be the food shop, there is not a great variety but even then big supermarkets are close by.

Lovely staff, everyone was helpful and spoke very good English. The mobile home was very clean and comfortable. The pools and on-site activities were great. My youngest two really enjoyed Sunny club club.

The bouncy castles and and players were a bit tired. Improvements to these would really elevate the campsite and oven or air fryer in the mobile. Home would be helpful clear signage and information about where activities were taking place would be useful for example we booked and paid for a disco which was in a different area to where we were waiting.

Really liked the gardens and the space that the site offered. The Woodland walk around the marsh is lovely too. Really friendly staff everywhere you went everybody was very supportive and helpful.

The food on offer in the restaurant by the Poolleft a lot to be desired. We tried a couple of meals there and neither of them were that good and so we decided to cook ourselves or eat out.

We rented a four bedroom lodge which was very nice.

A fridge should be installed in the one bedroom section of the lodge. There was a space for a fridge but it was empty. It would be helpful so that the people in the one bedroom lodge could make tea or coffee with milk in the morning without waking the people in the other part of the lodge. It was really inconvenient as we needed other things from the fridge during the day but had no access if the other part of the lodge was locked.

Beautiful location with really well kept grounds and facilities. Not overly crowded.

Our studio could be beautiful… but .. chairs all have lost any support on the seats the shower is v dirty - and the doors don’t really work .. needs complete retiling and new enclosure No iron in our room ( there was in others) and we had to leave a driving licence to borrow one which we found quite insulted by the lack of trust ! No soap ! Coffee machine didn’t work and the welcome box which we thought might be a chocolate Arranged a checkout time - arrived a day early and then not at all on the actual checkout day - again felt like a lack of trust having to be inspected and the lack of organisation not arriving at all. The welcome box was beautifully designed and when we opened it expecting a small gift maybe a chocolate or similar there was a toilet roll !

Ability to pre book. Reception ladies were fantastic.

Having stayed with Eurocamp some years ago I was shocked to find how the site had changed. The pitches offered, we had a 100m sq pitch described as Superior (L10). It was squeezed inbetween bushes, so unable to use the full 100m and with other pitches overlooking us. Walking around the campsite it was obvious Sunelia had gone for pitch numbers, both camping and chalets over comfort of their guests. In the UK you would never find this allowed due to a fire risk. The price charged was far too high.

Gorgeous pools with great slides and beautiful grounds. Sunny club and Clara was fantastic and reception staff could not be more helpful.

The restaurant manager older man was very unfriendly. Was very unhelpful and did not even try to understand our English. The laundry was a disaster almost fights breaking out as not enough machines. Payment machines not working and 6 items of clothes ruined from washing machines. Campsite got really busy and very noisy at night. Once of the nights the fireworks started at 11pm awoke all the children and was so so loud.

My initial contact at reception was excellent, a very nice young person booked me in and gave me some information about the campsite.

The reception at the both bars was lack lustre. The bar staff I met seemed a little put out that I needed serving. In one case the young lady was practically rude and when I asked for a coffee she waved to another staff member and walked off.
