Quimper and the Domaine de l'Orangerie de Lanniron are located close to an incredible coastline, that of Finistère, the longest in France with 2263 km of coastline and 8500 islands or islets offering incredible sea fishing opportunities.
But the Domaine de Lanniron also stands out for offering several freshwater fishing opportunities.

Set in 45 hectares of lush green parkland on the banks of the Odet river in Quimper, Finistère, the Lanniron estate has three major assets to make fishing campers happy during their holidays.
It has three magnificent fishing and relaxation spots:
- A 1500 m2 private pond, known as the "grand canal", located in the 17th-century gardens of the Château de Lanniron, where you can fish for carp;
- The Bassin de Neptune, the former fishpond of the bishops of Quimper, restored in 2003, which forms a 950 m2 lake connected to the river and set in a magnificent semi-wooded area of over 6,000 m2 ;
- The Odet River, one of the most beautiful in France, also known as "the river of 18 species of fish", borders the estate and offers a vast, magnificent stretch of water for a wide range of fishing activities.
You can fish for brown trout, wild Atlantic salmon, shad, sea bass, mullet, etc. in the Neptune basin and the Odet.
It should be noted that a fishing licence is not required as the three areas offered by our site belong to the maritime domain.

The Créac'h Gwen leisure park, located right next to the Lanniron estate, has a free-access pond. Pike and carp fishing, limited to two lines, is only permitted under no-kill conditions. For trout, the quota is 6 catches. Rainbow trout are regularly released. A reciprocal fishing licence or day pass is required.
If you widen your fishing perimeter to include the tributaries of the Odet (the Steïr and the Jet) and the 600km or so of waterways classified as first category for fish, you'll find something to suit all tastes and techniques.
